Sadness Is A Blessing

Sadness is a blessing. It might sound really wrong but I believe it is a blessing. When things go wrong especially when things just don’t go as how we planned it to be, we are bound to feel unhappy. We are filled with a lot of feelings we can bear with  but sometimes we can't take them any longer. We could be dumbfounded, depressed, speechless, or just numb - feeling nothing. Sometimes, we just want to fade into the background, not be minded by anything around us…like we are invisible. We try our best to look as if we’re okay. We don’t want to trouble the people around us. But when we are finally alone, we tend to break down. Happiness seems elusive or far away. We simply surrender. There would always be something that gets away, something that gets through. But there are also things that would stay. We take the problems we face too seriously that it eventually leads us to feeling down. It might be a little weird but some find this feeling quite comforting. I think that feeling this way somehow makes us feel a bit better about the situation. It is like a way to release all the worries we have been caving in. Just the very feeling when you're completely invisible. But some people take it the wrong way when we let out what's slowly killing us inside. They see it more of us wanting to get attention from the crowd or just shutting the whole world away. But it's absolutely not like that. People who are currently feeling this way should be left alone to breathe for a while. We might feel a little helpless but when we have finally conquered and recovered from the dreadful roller coaster ride we got ourselves into, we earn a new formed strength that is a lot stronger than the one we had before. No one deserves to go through such a pain like this but this should be experienced. This might seem dysfunctional but it turns out to be beautiful. But a beauty that won't last… because things start to heal itself as time goes by.

Sadness could be a fool sometimes but it sometimes brings forward wonderful things that we thought were never there. When we experience sadness, we start to become braver, stronger, and a better person that we thought we could never become. The healing process might seem to take forever but it's definitely coming. Sadness might be one of the burdens in life that we carry but it is a good burden that will surely help and change us someday. After all, sadness is a wonderful feeling...A blessing that has given us a lovely scar that we will never forget for a very long time.

In The Limbo

Who among us could stand up and say that she has never made a mistake? I am quite sure, no one. I'm quite sure all of us has committed some false steps. In our lifetime,  we may have made one or two or even more mistakes; some intentionally  and others unintentionally. Most of the times, I bet, that these instances are something that we wished we had never done.  We feel that they seem so wrong, that we have messed up so much. We are hounded by guilt, and feel that there is no way out. However, that should not be the case. Life has never been perfect since the fall of our first parents. We should always remember that we don't have here a bed of roses. God has allowed us to fall in order for us to learn and become a better and stronger person.  Yes, some would say that it is always easier said than done but we just have to be strong. We should not allow the guilt to drown us and stop us from continuing our lives. We should remember that nothing happens by accident. Every thing happens for a reason, for a purpose. What really matters is not on the number of times that we have fallen but rather on the number of times that we have tried to get up from those falls. The mistakes that we may have committed in our lives shape the person that we are right now. How we dealt with them and overcome them strengthen our character and make us better equipped to face more challenges in our lives. We should not look at the negative side of the errors that we may have done. We should not allow them to control us, to hamper our struggle to become better. We should move on, continue our journey, this time wiser than before.

We should not linger on the past that we can not change any more. We should look forward and focus on the things that we can still change, the future. It is true that the past mistakes that we have done may have hurt us so much and left a scar in our hearts. However, the choice is in our hands either that we run from it or learn from it. We should not be afraid to make mistakes. The worst mistake that we can actually  make is never to have tried. We should remember that there will always be something good that comes out from the bad, though  it might take time before we finally realize it.

Same Mistakes

It happens all the time. We're young. We honestly just can't help it.
But we're sorry.

A Kaleidoscope Above Us

I see the sky as a kaleidoscope,  but of course in a more organized way. We all know that a kaleidoscope is simply beautiful, spontaneous, with no effort at all. Our sky is somewhat like that. A fusion of countless colors, a pallete of a great painter.  It's color doesn't stay as it is, it is dynamic. Our sky could be orange with a hint of yellow at one moment then it could turn grayish, with buckets of purple and a mixture of blue at other times. Watching the sky from our point of view is just mesmerizing. It captures you and makes you stop for a moment and instantly glues your eyes towards it. I have always been smitten by the sky especially of its clouds. It's like a magnet that draws my attention especially when I'm feeling low. The clouds just simply relax me, loosen things up a bit. I hope it does that to you too. When everything down here on earth doesn't go the way you want it to be and it just seem so crummy, looking up above the sky could be a temporary quick fix. The beauty just leaves you breathless. Looking at it soothes our weary soul from the complicated jungle we live in. We are often  told that life is not easy and that it is not a walk in the park.  I think that the beauty around us like the sky, the clouds and the rainbow serve as our balm, a "take it easy for a moment" diversion from life's complexities.

Treasure them for we are so lucky to have been given the eyes to appreciate the puffy clouds and bewitching sky. What's truly amazing is no matter how much it changes it stays beautiful. Who wouldn't love looking at the sky with multitudes of cotton candy-like clouds above with a smilling sun spreading its rays behind? It's simply breathtaking! It's very unpredictable though.  It could be sprinkled with millions of twinkling stars or just a starless pitch-dark sky at night or filled with puffy clouds in different hues during the day. That's what's makes it cool. You are given a variety of surprises everyday. When the sky is clear and in its ultimate beauty,  everything turns surreal. It gives us an unexplainable awe that we wish to experience every once in a while.

Declassified: Talents

I'm quite sure that in our lifetime we were asked by these usual questions: "What have you got?","What do you have to be proud of?","What are you known for?". We would definitely be enumerating to them our talents, our skills, our expertise, etc. These could be anything like singing, dancing, swimming, basketball,  volleyball, or it could even be licking our elbow or over extending our thumb. These are  talents which not everyone may ever have. However, there are times that we prefer to keep them to ourselves and refuse to reveal  things which we really are good  at. So we are left with two options to choose from: to keep those talents hidden or to finally break our shell and show to the whole world what we got. This is a very BIG decision to make. It's all in your own hands though to make that choice. Scenarios of what could happen when it is finally revealed flash in your mind and give you some jitters. There may be criticisms thrown at you but these should not stop you from showing the real you. It's all worth taking the risk. Showing them who you really are might be the best thing you've ever done. You would never know that through this, a new door will be opened and you may even be discovered. Someone may find you very talented and interesting that would eventually create some curiosity to others. You will be known and famous. Everyone would know your name. But it really depends on how you show your uniqueness. You need not show them off and monopolize the stage. Share your talents humbly and without air. Remember that your talents are not yours in the first place. They are also gifts from Someone greater than you, and who loves you so much. In the contrary, if you decide to keep some of your talents classified, it's fine. Nothing changes, everything stays as it is. Nobody can force you to do something you opted not to do. It's your life and you're the captain of it. You are given the liberty to take control of it with your will.

When we choose to hide something, we hide them for a reason. As I've heard from someone: A great artist doesn't show his work in progress to anyone but keeps it to himself. He shows it when it is finally finished and worth showing. Hidden talents are kept for a reason. Each one of us has his own explanation why we decide to hold back.
