Declassified: Talents

I'm quite sure that in our lifetime we were asked by these usual questions: "What have you got?","What do you have to be proud of?","What are you known for?". We would definitely be enumerating to them our talents, our skills, our expertise, etc. These could be anything like singing, dancing, swimming, basketball,  volleyball, or it could even be licking our elbow or over extending our thumb. These are  talents which not everyone may ever have. However, there are times that we prefer to keep them to ourselves and refuse to reveal  things which we really are good  at. So we are left with two options to choose from: to keep those talents hidden or to finally break our shell and show to the whole world what we got. This is a very BIG decision to make. It's all in your own hands though to make that choice. Scenarios of what could happen when it is finally revealed flash in your mind and give you some jitters. There may be criticisms thrown at you but these should not stop you from showing the real you. It's all worth taking the risk. Showing them who you really are might be the best thing you've ever done. You would never know that through this, a new door will be opened and you may even be discovered. Someone may find you very talented and interesting that would eventually create some curiosity to others. You will be known and famous. Everyone would know your name. But it really depends on how you show your uniqueness. You need not show them off and monopolize the stage. Share your talents humbly and without air. Remember that your talents are not yours in the first place. They are also gifts from Someone greater than you, and who loves you so much. In the contrary, if you decide to keep some of your talents classified, it's fine. Nothing changes, everything stays as it is. Nobody can force you to do something you opted not to do. It's your life and you're the captain of it. You are given the liberty to take control of it with your will.

When we choose to hide something, we hide them for a reason. As I've heard from someone: A great artist doesn't show his work in progress to anyone but keeps it to himself. He shows it when it is finally finished and worth showing. Hidden talents are kept for a reason. Each one of us has his own explanation why we decide to hold back.
