La-la Land

Have you ever wondered if we could escape from reality? Even just for a moment be out of touch with the real world? Just to be in a place where everything goes the way you want it and to feel like the world is just plainly amazing, like how you imagined a world of your own would be. We shall call this place our "La-la Land". A world where we could do anything we want, without limitations… without anyone checking on us… without the scrutiny of other people.  It’s a world where we are the stars, not a sight of villains haunting us.
Impossible you say? Well you're wrong. It is possible. It just takes some belief and a whole lot of imagination. A La-la Land can be anything you want it to be. It could be a land full of food or a place where everything is literally made of candy. It could be anywhere too. It could be under your bed, in your garden, anywhere. It's all up to you.

Your La-la land has to be a place where you could be comfortable and just be… you. If you would ask me, I suggest you keep this place under the table because its magic or its peachy spark tends to disappear when another finds out about it.  Want to try creating your own La-la land?  Go ahead and don’t be afraid to explore the wonders of the universe. I believe that you have what it takes to create one.  It has been within us ever since. We just haven't found out yet. In another world, your world.

Dreamland

A place never heard, never seen, and never thought.
Not by anyone but you. Only you know how it all plays, in a world of your own.

Shake Them Out

We all have gone through a feeling where we become jittery, jumpy, and anxious. Of course we did so many times.  Honestly, this feeling sort of disturbs me.  I think a lot of us feel this way too. These butterflies in our stomach are usually felt when tests, competitions, events or some stuff that we are involved in are coming up. Why do we feel this way? Well, simply because we don't want to mess up... We pressure ourselves to do it right. Our nerves cause adrenaline rush and this can actually help us or disappoint us depending on how we handle the situation.  And yet when we let our adrenaline be our alter ego, it sometimes could help. This anxiety attacks scare me a bit but for some, the feeling excites them.  They take pleasure in the rush and excitement it brings.  Our nerves would sometimes scare us off too, making us paranoid of what might happen and what not.  Sometimes it pushes us at the edge of finally giving up.  But we should not let that happen. Being nervous is just a phase when we're out of our comfort zone and when we are put in a place that requires us to exert some extra effort, or when we are in a "do or die" situation, which may not come that often.
http://weheartit.com/entry/7304344
The best thing to do when we experience this is for us to do what eases us when we get anxious.  It could be eating or moving around or just humming or simply, be engaged in something that would while away the time.  Before we knew it, the “crisis” is over. The bottom line is, “Don't let your nerves take over you, straighten up and shake them all off and the results will leave you smiling like the Cheshire cat.”

The moment you start feeling jittery you know they're coming... butterflies in your stomach.

Young Blood

We're all still young and naive. Our thoughts and emotions change like the wind. We end up being in-between two roads that might make or break us and we find a way to get out and get it over with. It gets really hard to control what we do sometimes. But we try our hardest to be the best and those who doubt us should know that. In the process of growing up, we eventually go through some mess-ups. We get low grades, we lose friends, we gain enemies, we break promises, we make stupid decisions, we all have regrets. All these define who we are. We are imperfect. The youth is imperfect. But these things aren't the only ones that make us up.  Beyond all those there are some good things too. But they vary in every person. More often than not, we can't help but count our flaws. We get insecure that we build up walls around us and when things get better, we try to claw our way out. We start to feel our selves permeate through the walls and finally break through.
While we are young, we try to do as much as we can. Like one line from song, “We lie beneath the stars, we keep secrets hope to die, and promises, swear them to the sky.” We do the unexpected and the expected depending on what dilemma we are in. There will be times that we will succeed but most of the time, we will crumble and fall. All of these run through the youth's veins. As unpredictable as we may seem, we stay strong. That’s how resilient we are. When things don't go as planned and everything seems to be all over the place, we will do everything to put things back into perspective. A lot of the people around us don't see us sweating our butts off though. Don't be deceived by what you see, we have something more inside. The youth might seem unbearable; we might seem insane, and indestructible. But we can change.   It may not be sooner than you expected. But yes, we will change. Only time can tell.
http://weheartit.com/entry/34231022
The youth isn’t all what it seems. We might appear hard and rough from the outside but inside, we are completely soft and mushy.  There’s no other reason but this: young blood runs within us.

Wonders Of The Younger

http://weheartit.com/entry/34196147
We can be wild. We can be crazy. We can be hard to read sometimes. But there are also times when we are just normal people. These are the things that make us young, the youth of this generation.

Sadness Is A Blessing

Sadness is a blessing. It might sound really wrong but I believe it is a blessing. When things go wrong especially when things just don’t go as how we planned it to be, we are bound to feel unhappy. We are filled with a lot of feelings we can bear with  but sometimes we can't take them any longer. We could be dumbfounded, depressed, speechless, or just numb - feeling nothing. Sometimes, we just want to fade into the background, not be minded by anything around us…like we are invisible. We try our best to look as if we’re okay. We don’t want to trouble the people around us. But when we are finally alone, we tend to break down. Happiness seems elusive or far away. We simply surrender. There would always be something that gets away, something that gets through. But there are also things that would stay. We take the problems we face too seriously that it eventually leads us to feeling down. It might be a little weird but some find this feeling quite comforting. I think that feeling this way somehow makes us feel a bit better about the situation. It is like a way to release all the worries we have been caving in. Just the very feeling when you're completely invisible. But some people take it the wrong way when we let out what's slowly killing us inside. They see it more of us wanting to get attention from the crowd or just shutting the whole world away. But it's absolutely not like that. People who are currently feeling this way should be left alone to breathe for a while. We might feel a little helpless but when we have finally conquered and recovered from the dreadful roller coaster ride we got ourselves into, we earn a new formed strength that is a lot stronger than the one we had before. No one deserves to go through such a pain like this but this should be experienced. This might seem dysfunctional but it turns out to be beautiful. But a beauty that won't last… because things start to heal itself as time goes by.
http://weheartit.com/entry/33669006
Sadness could be a fool sometimes but it sometimes brings forward wonderful things that we thought were never there. When we experience sadness, we start to become braver, stronger, and a better person that we thought we could never become. The healing process might seem to take forever but it's definitely coming. Sadness might be one of the burdens in life that we carry but it is a good burden that will surely help and change us someday. After all, sadness is a wonderful feeling...A blessing that has given us a lovely scar that we will never forget for a very long time.

In The Limbo

Who among us could stand up and say that she has never made a mistake? I am quite sure, no one. I'm quite sure all of us has committed some false steps. In our lifetime,  we may have made one or two or even more mistakes; some intentionally  and others unintentionally. Most of the times, I bet, that these instances are something that we wished we had never done.  We feel that they seem so wrong, that we have messed up so much. We are hounded by guilt, and feel that there is no way out. However, that should not be the case. Life has never been perfect since the fall of our first parents. We should always remember that we don't have here a bed of roses. God has allowed us to fall in order for us to learn and become a better and stronger person.  Yes, some would say that it is always easier said than done but we just have to be strong. We should not allow the guilt to drown us and stop us from continuing our lives. We should remember that nothing happens by accident. Every thing happens for a reason, for a purpose. What really matters is not on the number of times that we have fallen but rather on the number of times that we have tried to get up from those falls. The mistakes that we may have committed in our lives shape the person that we are right now. How we dealt with them and overcome them strengthen our character and make us better equipped to face more challenges in our lives. We should not look at the negative side of the errors that we may have done. We should not allow them to control us, to hamper our struggle to become better. We should move on, continue our journey, this time wiser than before.
http://weheartit.com/entry/27132152
We should not linger on the past that we can not change any more. We should look forward and focus on the things that we can still change, the future. It is true that the past mistakes that we have done may have hurt us so much and left a scar in our hearts. However, the choice is in our hands either that we run from it or learn from it. We should not be afraid to make mistakes. The worst mistake that we can actually  make is never to have tried. We should remember that there will always be something good that comes out from the bad, though  it might take time before we finally realize it.

Same Mistakes

http://weheartit.com/entry/26528200
It happens all the time. We're young. We honestly just can't help it.
But we're sorry.

A Kaleidoscope Above Us

I see the sky as a kaleidoscope,  but of course in a more organized way. We all know that a kaleidoscope is simply beautiful, spontaneous, with no effort at all. Our sky is somewhat like that. A fusion of countless colors, a pallete of a great painter.  It's color doesn't stay as it is, it is dynamic. Our sky could be orange with a hint of yellow at one moment then it could turn grayish, with buckets of purple and a mixture of blue at other times. Watching the sky from our point of view is just mesmerizing. It captures you and makes you stop for a moment and instantly glues your eyes towards it. I have always been smitten by the sky especially of its clouds. It's like a magnet that draws my attention especially when I'm feeling low. The clouds just simply relax me, loosen things up a bit. I hope it does that to you too. When everything down here on earth doesn't go the way you want it to be and it just seem so crummy, looking up above the sky could be a temporary quick fix. The beauty just leaves you breathless. Looking at it soothes our weary soul from the complicated jungle we live in. We are often  told that life is not easy and that it is not a walk in the park.  I think that the beauty around us like the sky, the clouds and the rainbow serve as our balm, a "take it easy for a moment" diversion from life's complexities.
http://weheartit.com/entry/32521827
Treasure them for we are so lucky to have been given the eyes to appreciate the puffy clouds and bewitching sky. What's truly amazing is no matter how much it changes it stays beautiful. Who wouldn't love looking at the sky with multitudes of cotton candy-like clouds above with a smilling sun spreading its rays behind? It's simply breathtaking! It's very unpredictable though.  It could be sprinkled with millions of twinkling stars or just a starless pitch-dark sky at night or filled with puffy clouds in different hues during the day. That's what's makes it cool. You are given a variety of surprises everyday. When the sky is clear and in its ultimate beauty,  everything turns surreal. It gives us an unexplainable awe that we wish to experience every once in a while.

Declassified: Talents

I'm quite sure that in our lifetime we were asked by these usual questions: "What have you got?","What do you have to be proud of?","What are you known for?". We would definitely be enumerating to them our talents, our skills, our expertise, etc. These could be anything like singing, dancing, swimming, basketball,  volleyball, or it could even be licking our elbow or over extending our thumb. These are  talents which not everyone may ever have. However, there are times that we prefer to keep them to ourselves and refuse to reveal  things which we really are good  at. So we are left with two options to choose from: to keep those talents hidden or to finally break our shell and show to the whole world what we got. This is a very BIG decision to make. It's all in your own hands though to make that choice. Scenarios of what could happen when it is finally revealed flash in your mind and give you some jitters. There may be criticisms thrown at you but these should not stop you from showing the real you. It's all worth taking the risk. Showing them who you really are might be the best thing you've ever done. You would never know that through this, a new door will be opened and you may even be discovered. Someone may find you very talented and interesting that would eventually create some curiosity to others. You will be known and famous. Everyone would know your name. But it really depends on how you show your uniqueness. You need not show them off and monopolize the stage. Share your talents humbly and without air. Remember that your talents are not yours in the first place. They are also gifts from Someone greater than you, and who loves you so much. In the contrary, if you decide to keep some of your talents classified, it's fine. Nothing changes, everything stays as it is. Nobody can force you to do something you opted not to do. It's your life and you're the captain of it. You are given the liberty to take control of it with your will.

http://weheartit.com/entry/28467829
When we choose to hide something, we hide them for a reason. As I've heard from someone: A great artist doesn't show his work in progress to anyone but keeps it to himself. He shows it when it is finally finished and worth showing. Hidden talents are kept for a reason. Each one of us has his own explanation why we decide to hold back.

Our Ultimate Force Field

Music…doesn't it just take you away from reality and brings you somewhere where you really want to be. Every peewee detail of it is simply perfect. I don't know why, but when I feel all so lonely, music is always there for me. It knows exactly what to say just to perk me up all over again. Music means something more to me. It's more than just rhythm and blues. Something about it just creates a corner where I could stay. When things go wrong and I need a moment to breathe, just sitting in that corner makes everything okay. The real world is pretty much a nightmare already but I know that I have music, my place to escape.
When things don't go the way you planned them to be and you feel terrified, music could be your comfort zone, your force field from everything. All you have to do is pop in your earphones or tune up your radio, and listen. It’s not really shutting off yourself from the world or anything. Listening to music could somehow give you a soothing, healing and comforting balm.
http://weheartit.com/entry/30689220
Some people (not anyone that I know or heard of) would think that those who love, like really LOVE music, would push others away and completely ignore the world out there; but no, not at all. Music when shared is one thing that could make one person feel really special, unique, and safe. It could do wonder, like bringing people back to each other. It unites rather than separates. It adds color and meaning to life. Moreover, music could reflect one's personality. Depending on the kind of genre of music he/she listens to, part of him/her is revealed. Music mirrors a person’s life. Music is really something much more than what we think it to be.

I wish I could be..free

Have you ever felt like you just wanted to go with the wind and let it take you where it wants to go?
Well, I did...numerous times to be honest. Adding to the thrill is the fact that you have absolutely no idea where you're going to end up. I'm usually the kind of person who is not willing to take risks. But thinking about all the opportunities life can give, it would be nice to it a try and step out of the box every once in a while. At the end, I bet I would feel really great knowing that I did something I never thought I could ever do. What gave me this insight was the time when I saw a picture of pieces of a dying dandelion being blown away by the wind and thought how free they were. Sometimes I wish I could just shrink myself, small enough so that I can hang on to one of those pieces and just allow it to take me anywhere. Thoughts started to stir in my mind what could have happened if I were one of those delicate pieces. It just left me completely breathless.

http://weheartit.com/entry/29947237
Reality can take over and just drain the excitement of it all. How one would see it in reality: A soft hairy thing floating around that will eventually end up on the ground. To make life more thrilling or to add some spark all we need is a bucket of imagination. It's refreshing, believe me and I hope you would. 'Life is never easy'and we should accept that fact. But going into "your own world" even just for a moment, would make things a lot better. There are a lot of problems in life; it wouldn't hurt to be in the imagination zone for a while. You can't allow all these dilemmas heap up or your brain could just burst. While we're still young, live life to the absolute fullest. Sure, we make mistakes here and there but at the end of it all is a lesson that we will remember all throughout our years. So here's the recap, loosen up a bit! Don't take life too seriously. Maybe break the rules sometimes (except the big ones, follow them!). And if life hits a nerve...close your eyes, take a deep breath, and skedaddle, to your very own solitary world where all you could ever be is free.
